Meet BooBoo
(& Fat Cat)
BooBoo is a retired nurse, mother, grandmother, and the heart behind BooBoo's Bags.
After spending much of her life caring for others, retirement left her searching for something creative to fill her days. Following the loss of her son, Pat, crochet became more than a hobby—it became a way to work through grief, stay busy, and create something beautiful with her hands.
Each bag is handmade freehand, without a pattern, making every piece completely unique. Inspired by family, memories, healing, and hope, her designs reflect the people and moments that have shaped her life.
The nickname "BooBoo" came from her first grandchild more than twenty years ago, and it has stuck ever since.
Keeping her company is Fat Cat, a fluffy long-haired orange rescue adopted from the ASPCA. Part supervisor, part troublemaker, and part best friend, he makes sure BooBoo stays on her toes while she creates.
More than just bags, these creations are small pieces of her story—made one stitch at a time with love, patience, and heart.

About BooBoo's Bags
What started as a way to stay busy has become something much more.
After losing her son, Pat, BooBoo found comfort in creating. Crochet became a way to work through grief, quiet the boredom that can come with retirement, and turn difficult days into something meaningful. One stitch at a time, she began creating handmade pieces inspired by family, memories, healing, and hope.
Every item from BooBoo's Bags is created freehand without a pattern, making each piece truly one of a kind. No two bags are exactly alike, and that's part of their charm. Inspired by favorite places, cherished memories, changing seasons, and the people we carry with us, each creation tells its own story.
The Memory Collection is just the beginning. While the collection currently features handmade crochet bags and totes, Pat's Hats is coming soon, along with scarves, blankets, and other handmade creations. Named in honor of Pat, this growing collection serves as a reminder that even after loss, love continues to create, inspire, and endure.
